Star Trek

In this scene from The Next Generation, Worf lays down the law on the the sexiest way to lure a mate. Judging by the look on Wesley Crusher’s face it works on interspecies races too. And dudes.

Quirk Books next publication in the _____ + zombie mashup book spree that began with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is Night of the Living Trekkies by Kevin David Anderson. Zombie hell breaks loose at a Trekkie convention, leaving the fate of the world in the hands of fanboys:

We caught up with Rekulak to find out why he picked the book. He explained: “I’ve always felt that a giant convention of fanboys (like the San Diego Comic Con) would be a delightful setting for some kind of genre fiction, mystery, romance, horror, something. Then the manuscript for NIGHT OF THE LIVING TREKKIES landed on my desk, and I knew I had my book.”

Sounds pretty awesome and hey who knows, maybe some of the Trekkies that go zombie will finally get to touch a boob…and devour it shortly afterward.

Post image for 1 Billionth Scale Ion Model Of Enterprise-D

This Starship Enterprise NCC-1701D of Star Trek was fabricated by Takayuki Hoshino & Shinji Matsui, in one-billionth scale by 30 kV Ga+ focused-ion- beam CVD using phenanthrene gas for the The 47th International Conference on Electron, Ion and Photon Beam Technology and Nanofabrication Bizarre/Beautiful Micrograph Contest back in 2003, which is the equivalent of a couple centuries in internet years, or 49 dog years for people who keep track of things in dog years. The model measures a mere 8.8 micrometers long. (There are 1000 micrometers in 1 millimeter)

(Hits a bong)

Dude, that’s like…really small…
