A friend of mine suggested one day that it would be cool to see the characters of Futurama as X-Men and so I drew him Fry as Cyclops. For some reason I couldn’t just stop there…and what came of it was a pretty extensive illustration with some of the most obscure characters from both the X-Men and Futurama universes
As a tribute to Pink Floyd’s iconic Dark Side of the Moon album cover, and sadly not for a fictional TV show I just made up titled Now It’s Real, Asshole!, Sky Arts has made the acclaimed artwork a reality over Primrose Hill, London using lasers and smoke machines.
The 5th annual Hexapod Dance Off took place last month in Austria in which the hexapods rhythm, agility, appearance, and their operators programming skillz are judged.
Then you whip out a .357 and wildly shoot it while screaming speculations about its mother’s professional and personal life until you can’t tell it’s paper anymore. Awesome.
Metalworker Des Bromilow built a life size replica of Bender Bending Rodriguez from Futurama, complete with cigar for blowing smoke in floozybots faces, an optional add on beard on days he wants to be confused for Flexo, and an ass that is presumably shiny and made of metal.

G4′s Attack of the Show hosted a Star Wars slave Leia themed car wash over the weekend with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish foundation, which, surprisingly, was not in charge of the event itself.
When I watched the Exploring The Universe With Elijah Wood promo for this album a few weeks ago, I had a feeling the album was going to be good, but it is so good that in explaining the album to someone who’s never heard it, I think the most straightforward way to describe it would be this: the Apples In Stereo somehow played a chord impossible to hear by human ears ripped a hole in space time, jumped through the hole, met an alternate universe funkbot version of Electric Light Orchestra circa 5977 and had a jam session that sent a shockwave through space and time back into our universe, and the whole thing was conveniently recorded by a UFO nutter no one ever will believe:
This 8 bit Mega Man mosiac was made by neoGAF member jarosh is a monument to everything that is awesome and Mega Manly. The mosaic, measuring 120cm x 109 cm, is composed of roughly 1500 screenshots featuring all levels from Mega Man 1-6.
The idea was to have one screenshot for every pixel of the mega man sprite and then have the sprite surrounded by the remaining screenshots.
now, in theory there shouldn?t be any duplicates, i took just the right amount of screenshots ? however, what you see here is actually a composite of several different mosaics and there?s been a LOT of manual editing too, a lot of photoshop work etc. it?s possible that several of the tiles show up twice or even three times. but the majority of the tiles are unique, even the ones that look very similar. took me several weeks to finish the whole thing.
i also made a little gallery with all the boxes and cartridges of all the games from every region (at the very bottom).
and there?s what you could call a little easter egg in there (for my own convenience really : P ): two rows of screenshots at the bottom (surrounded by a black outline) that show all the weaknesses of robot masters, wily castle bosses and wily machines. all of those screenshots were edited by hand (and it took f*cking FOREVER). you?ll see it in the detail shots.
Should be on display in the Louvre in no time, I’ve personally taken the liberty of making room by smashing a painting of a woman who looked like an enigmatic dude over my knee.
Also if you look at the upper right corner of the underwear you’ll notice the little easter egg left by jorash, his cats little man and minu beans:
